  • Do what you like...

  • According to the preacher this morning at my church, CS Lewis once said: "Water is powerful, wet stuff."

I just thought you should know.

  • By the way, Lewis wrote this in a book as a dialogue. He did not say this on his own behalf but rather on behalf of one of his fictional characters.

    This was important to clarify.

  • Caleb,
Thanks for clearing that fact up. That quote about water comes from a group of my favorite characters, the Monopods or Dufflepuds. They are found in the book "Voyage of the Dawn Treader," one of my favorite in the Chronicles of Narnia series. They are usually making statements such as: "What I say is, when a chap's hungry, he likes some victuals," and "Getting dark now; always does at night." The quote that you referred to is one of my favorites, though. :)

  • Is that cat actually sitting beneath a lawn mower? Or are the graphics on my screen deceiving me?

  • It looks to me like the pictured cat was sitting on some wet pavement next to an upside-down basin and a garden hose.

    I could be wrong, though.

  • Well I think that it is a cat sitting in a puddle of water, (rather deep mind you,) under the blade deck of a lawn mower along with the hose that is probably responsible for the excess accumulation of the said liquid.

  • The correct answer goes to jacques, minus the "rather deep" part (the water was quite shallow).

  • Yeah, I thought about it afterward and you can see some of the cement is still dry, so unless someone has a really uneven floor...
