Fellowship with Friends

Yesterday I enjoyed Torres Family hospitality, indulging in wonderful food, great conversation, fun games, and even some movie-making. Michael Fowl drove with me to the Torres Home, and several other families joined us as we enjoyed the fruits of the Torres’ preparatory and hosting labors.

The gathering was a grand success. Tasty food was readily available in the form of burgers with fixin’s, chicken, sausage, salad, potato salad, chips & salsa, brownies, etc. (One never has an excuse to leave the Torres Home hungry, a fact particularly appreciated by a bachelor who doesn’t cook.) Dutch Blitz, a standard community pastime, made an appearance at the get-together, and this time yours truly was on the winning team (way to go, Andrew!). Finally, the fellowship of believers one with another is a privilege indeed, and the Torres’ hospitality permitted plenty of such fellowship.

Our day was completed by the filming of an impromptu, ad-libbed, storyboard-as-you-go movie that was a lot of fun to make. Immediately following our filming we watched it on Samuel Turley’s laptop, with said film causing much laughter to ensue from both young and those not quite as young. 'Tis rather amusing what an affect the camera can have upon otherwise "normal" people.

Thank you, Torres Family, for hosting such a fine day. I look forward to next time!
